Doggy Day Care
At our American-style Doggy Day Care Centre, your dog will experience their very own idea of doggy heaven!
Your Local Experts in Canine Fun!
Our Day Care Centre is the original and largest day care centre on the Wirral – with over 13,000 sqft of space PetWise is perfect for all breeds and activity levels.
PetWise have been enriching the lives of dogs for over 10 years - as an activity led day care, your dog's day is filled with sensory activities aimed at engaging both their nose and mind along with fun free play to help nurture those all important socials skills.

Our qualified staff members are all passionate dog lovers who understand dog body language and behaviour, and are experts in canine fun! The dogs are never left alone and staff are on hand to help guide play, to give plenty of cuddles and create lots of fun and games for the group throughout the day.

1. Have a chat with Staff
You are very welcome to give us a call or pop us an email with any questions you may have about day care. To keep all dogs at daycare happy, calm and stress free we do not do tours of the Centre.

Over the phone, we will go through our day care checklist to make sure your dog has everything they need before booking in their settling in period which is step 2!
2. A 2 Hour Settling In Period
We feel it is really important for your dog to feel happy and confident with staff and the other dogs at daycare before they enroll. All new dogs must book a 2 hour Settling In Pass which is £10. This allows us to make sure all dogs at the centre are dog friendly and have the correct temperament for daycare life.

If your dog passes their Settling In Period, the £10 will be taken off their first day of daycare. The £10 is non-refundable if your dog fails or if the session is cancelled.
What Does A Day At Day Care Look Like?

Arrival
All dogs are dropped off before 9.30am, ready for a day of fun and play!
(Please note we have a pick up service if needed for an extra fee)
Morning Play
Our mornings are normally very active, starting the day with free play - allowing all the dogs to burn some energy, catch up with their PetWise friends and have some fun!
Enrichment Activities
Throughout the day we provide enrichment activities to encourage the dogs to use all their senses, ensuring there is always something to join in with. Some of our daily activites are treat time, ball games, bacon bubbles, water play, scavenger hunts, play in the ball pits or trampoline and time in our sensory garden.
Lunchtime
Any pups who still have their important lunch will go away for a nap before they eat.
For the older dogs – you are welcome to bring a snack in for them or enquire what snacks we have available to buy at reception.
The group is encouraged to have a good nap around lunchtime to allow them to refresh ready for the afternoon fun.
Afternoon Play
Our afternoons are slightly more relaxed as all the dogs have had a busy morning! They can chill on the sofas, sunbathe out in the yard or join in with activities with staff.
Home Time
Dogs normally start leaving from 4pm but you are welcome to pick your dog up whenever you need to.
(Please note we have a drop off service if needed for an extra fee)

Our New Sensory Garden For Dogs
Sniff, Eat, Listen, Look, Feel ...

Something dogs cannot experience anywhere else on the Wirral, our NEW sensory garden has been custom built to encourage your dog to use all of their senses to sniff and eat dog safe herbs and flowers such as lavender, rosemary and lemon balm, to feel textures under their paws in the sandpit, listen to relaxing wind chimes and see their reflections in the outdoor mirrors.
